Type what you want the way you would say it to your office secretary — “book me a hearing”, “file these photos under the case”, “pull everything on Nile Contracting”. Lexa understands, shows you exactly what it is about to do, and does it once you approve.
Included on the free plan — about 8 messages a month
Runs on Gemini via Vertex AI, over your firm's own data — your cases, clients, and hearings. Not a general model guessing from the outside.
A day at the office, and what gets lost in it
This was not built to be “a chat box on a website”. It was built for the moments that actually cost you:
A hearing date written on a scrap of paper
The court adjourned and you wrote the date on the back of a bundle. The paper goes missing, the hearing passes, the case is struck out — and no apology gives the date back. Tell the assistant “adjourned to the 20th” while you are still in the hall, and the hearing lands in the calendar.
Documents scattered between WhatsApp and the camera roll
The ID photo, the bundle, the stamped receipt — all sitting in chat threads. Upload them in the assistant chat and say “file these under case 2026/45”, and they are saved into the case folder instead of staying lost.
Chasing fees — the task everyone postponesPaid plan
Nobody enjoys raising money. The assistant drafts a polite reminder and schedules it for the time you choose. A written reminder, not an issued invoice — and it is a paid-plan capability.
The client calls asking “what's happening with my case?”
Before you answer, ask the assistant by name or case number. It returns the last hearing, the next one, and the procedural status from the case file — in a second, with the phone still at your ear.
What it actually does — named by its own tools
The assistant has 15 tools that operate on your firm's data. This is all of them. Nothing here is “coming soon”:
Hearings and scheduling
Books a hearing on a case, changes its date, court, or kind, lists hearings for a period you choose, and suggests genuinely free slots from your calendar before you commit to anything.
createHearing
updateHearing
listHearings
findFreeSlot
Cases and case files
Opens a new case, edits its header fields (type, status, court), writes into the structured case file — summary, facts, legal basis, defences, procedural status, notes — and adds a sub-filing for the same dispute in another court under its own number.
createCase
updateCase
updateCaseFile
addFiling
Clients
Registers a new client with their details, updates a phone, address, or tax ID, and writes the client's own narrative — their version of the facts — in a card kept separate from your legal characterization.
createClient
updateClient
updateClientNarrative
Search and documents
Free-text search across your firm's cases, clients, and hearings, and saving the images or files you upload in the chat into the case's documents — after which you can request OCR text extraction from the Documents page.
searchFirm
saveAttachmentsToCase
WhatsApp messages — paid plansPaid plan
Drafts a message to a client and sends it now, or schedules it for a time you set: a hearing reminder, a fee follow-up, or a status update. A scheduled message fires at its time even if you close the app.
sendWhatsAppMessage
scheduleWhatsAppMessage
And one thing it does not do, so there is no surprise
There is no invoicing tool in the assistant at all. “Remind the client about the fees” means a scheduled WhatsApp message — not an issued invoice, not collection, not a fee ledger. ETA-format invoicing is separate work you do yourself from the Invoices page in Lexa.
Also: you can open a single document in your files and ask about that one specifically, and the assistant answers from that file with its case context rather than sweeping across everything.
Real examples: the sentence, the reply, and what happened
These are not marketing scenarios. Every example below uses a tool that exists, and the tool is named next to it.
Tool: createHearing
You type:
Book a hearing on case 2026/45 for the 12th of next month at 10am, South Cairo court
Lexa replies:
Case 2026/45 — “Nile Contracting”.
I'll book a regular session: Thursday the 12th of next month, 10:00, South Cairo Court of First Instance.
Note: you already have another hearing that day at 11:30 at the Council of State.
Shall I confirm?
What happens: A confirmation card appears with every detail — edit it or cancel it. Once you approve, the hearing is booked in the firm calendar.
Tool: listHearings · findFreeSlot
You type:
What are my hearings this week? And where's the first free hour?
What happens: Read-only. These tools change nothing in your data, so they run without a confirmation card.
Tool: saveAttachmentsToCase
You type:
[3 images attached] File these under the documents of case 2026/45
Lexa replies:
Got 3 images. I'll save them into the documents of case 2026/45.
After saving, you can request OCR text extraction on each from the Documents page so they become searchable.
Save them?
What happens: Once you approve, the files are uploaded to your firm's archive and linked to the case — not to a stray folder.
Tool: searchFirm
You type:
Find me everything on “Nile Contracting”
Lexa replies:
Found: case 2026/45 (commercial, active, South Cairo First Instance), the client “Nile Contracting Co.”, and two upcoming hearings.
Want me to summarize the procedural status from the case file?
What happens: Free-text search across your firm's own cases, clients, and hearings. Read-only — nothing is modified.
Tool: updateCaseFile
You type:
The court adjourned today to the 20th for comments on the expert report — record that in the case file
Lexa replies:
I'll update the “procedural status” section of case 2026/45 with:
“Hearing 2/9: adjourned to 20/9 for comments on the expert report.”
The previous text is kept in the case events log, not lost. Save?
What happens: It writes one section of the case file only, and the old version is recorded in the case timeline so you can go back to it.
Tool: updateClient · updateClientNarrative
You type:
Mahmoud changed his number to 01000000000, and record his account that delivery was two months late
Lexa replies:
Two things:
1) Update the phone of client “Mahmoud Abdel Alim”.
2) Write the client narrative on case 2026/45: “The client states that delivery was two months later than the agreed date.” — his version, kept separate from your legal characterization.
Do both?
What happens: A separate confirmation card for each change — you can approve one and reject the other.
Tool: addFiling
You type:
The same dispute now has misdemeanour 8901 in Shubra El Kheima — add it under the same file
Lexa replies:
I'll add a sub-filing under case 2026/45:
Court: Shubra El Kheima Misdemeanour · Number: 8901 · Our client's role: plaintiff.
Confirm that role, or change it?
What happens: The filing is linked to the parent case, so the whole dispute sits in one place under its different numbers.
Tool: scheduleWhatsAppMessagePaid plan
You type:
Remind Mr Mohamed about the outstanding fees tomorrow at 10
Lexa replies:
Mohamed Farouk — client on two cases.
I'll schedule a WhatsApp message for tomorrow 10:00:
“Dear Mr Mohamed, a friendly reminder about the balance of fees on case 2026/45. Happy to answer any question.”
Edit the wording, or schedule it as is?
What happens: A scheduled reminder message that fires at its time even if you close the app. A message — not an invoice. Available on paid plans.
Before giving any assistant access to your files, ask three questions
These are our answers, and each is written in the code rather than in an ad:
It asks before it acts
Every tool that changes data — booking a hearing, editing a case file, adding a client, sending a message — is flagged as requiring confirmation. You get a card with the proposed details, you review and edit it, and you approve or reject. What runs without confirmation is only the read-only tools: listing hearings, suggesting slots, and search.
It sees your firm and nothing else
Each firm's data is stored under its own path and protected by database-level security rules. The assistant reads from your firm's data — no access to another firm, and none of your data reaching one.
You can read every action it took
Every edit to a case file is recorded in the case events log with the old and the new text, so you can go back and see what changed and when — without relying on memory.
And one honest note
The assistant is an aid. Any reply or draft it produces must be reviewed by you before it reaches a court or a client — review is the lawyer's responsibility, and the product says exactly that inside the chat, not in small print. We do not claim it writes a pleading ready to file, and we should not.
Plans, with the real numbers
The assistant is there from the free plan. What differs between plans is the message allowance, WhatsApp messaging, and live web research (Lexa Genius).

The count is an estimate because a message costs what its length and the size of the case file it reads cost — our average is ≈ 12k tokens per message. The free plan is also capped at 5 active cases, 10 clients, and half a gigabyte of storage. These numbers come from the plan configuration in the product itself.
No, and it must not. What it executes is administrative work: booking a hearing, recording an adjournment, filing a document into the case folder, drafting a reminder message. Legal opinion, characterization, defences, and advocacy are yours. Even when it drafts text, what comes out is a draft you review — review is your responsibility, and the product says so plainly inside the chat.
Where does my data go?
Your firm's data is stored in Lexa on Google Cloud under a path belonging to your firm, protected by database-level security rules. The assistant runs on Gemini through Vertex AI, so the request goes to a Google Cloud service rather than a general model open on the internet. Processing and retention details are set out on the Privacy and Compliance pages.
Can it do something without my approval?
No. Every data-changing tool stops at a confirmation card showing exactly what is about to happen, and you can edit or reject it. What runs immediately without confirmation is only the read-only tools — listing hearings, suggesting free slots, and searching your firm's records — because they write nothing.
Does it understand Egyptian colloquial Arabic?
Yes, and you should speak to it that way. Requests like “book me”, “remind me”, “pull everything on…” all work. And if you give a relative date such as “next Thursday”, it converts it to a real date and shows it in the confirmation card so you can check it before anything is booked.
Does it issue invoices or collect fees?
No. There is no invoicing tool in the assistant. “Remind the client about the fees” = a scheduled WhatsApp message, not an issued invoice, not collection, not a trust ledger. ETA-format invoicing is separate work you do from the Invoices page.
How many messages does the free plan include?
100,000 tokens a month, which is about 8 real messages. It is a small number and we say so plainly: the free plan is for trying the product, not for running a day on it. If you like the assistant, the cheapest paid plan gives you ≈ 17 messages and Professional ≈ 83.
Can it send WhatsApp to a client?
Yes, on paid plans. WhatsApp messages and reminders are locked on the free plan. On paid plans it drafts the message, shows it to you, and after your approval sends it now or schedules it for a time you set — and a scheduled message fires even if you close the app.
Can it answer from one specific document? And does it search the web?
Yes to the document: open a document in your files and ask about it, and it answers from that file with its case context (if the document is a photo or a scanned PDF, extract its text first from the Documents page). Live web research is called “Lexa Genius” and is available on paid plans only — it is fully closed on the free plan. Either way, verify any legal reference yourself before relying on it.
Try it on a single case
Create a free account, add one case, and tell the assistant “book me a hearing on it next Thursday”. If the confirmation card that appears is right, you have understood the whole product in a minute — and with no credit card.
